Chicago Police: Robbers Targeting Senior Citizens in Chinatown Spree

In Chicago’s Chinatown, a troubling series of incidents has emerged involving thieves who have set their sights on elderly residents, as reported by the police. These criminals have been known to physically assault their victims during these encounters, executing their robberies with aggression and threats.

The victims of these robberies have ranged in age from 63 to 80 years old. The attackers approach and engage their targets by either brandishing a pocketknife or deploying pepper spray, creating chaos and fear. In the midst of the commotion, they seize valuables from the pockets and handbags of their victims, leaving the elderly residents shaken and robbed.

These distressing attacks have been recorded at various times in recent days, taking place in specific locations. The first was reported at 6:15 p.m. on November 15 and was followed by an incident early in the morning at 7 a.m. on November 17, both of which occurred on South Princeton Avenue.
